The Listening Room Redux 3

Hosted by Henry Stewart
Thursday Jan 20, 6:30 – 9:30
Donations Encouraged

We’re bringing back the spirit of The Listening Room, with the original host Robert Quindaro’s blessing. This will be an evening of acoustic open mic musical entertainment that finishes up with an extended set by a featured local songwriter or two. As before, the primary focus is to give voice to our local talent in an environment that promotes a “shut up and listen” ethic. SIgn-ups for the open mic will be at 6:30, first up will perform at 7. The featured performers will come on in the final hour of the event.

This event is a community fundraising show that encourages donations to support our Namba Performing Arts Space. Drinks will be available for purchase. Vocals and instruments will be run through the excellent sound system; microphones, monitors, direct in jacks will be available for use, as will the house grand piano. Open mic performers will have about 10 minutes on stage, subject to change dependent on participation levels. This event is being scheduled for the months of November and December with the hopes that its success will allow us to continue monthly in 2022.

As we return to theaters and live events, the well-being of our patrons, artists, staff members and community is paramount. Protocols for attending in-person events are developed in conjunction with evolving state, and local health guidelines. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as these change frequently as Covid conditions evolve.

Proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the shows you are attending is required. “Full vaccination” means a final COVID-19 vaccine dose was administered at least 14 days prior to the event. Approved vaccine verification documentation will be required for entry, along with official photo ID. A photo result saved to your phone is sufficient.

Masks are required in indoor spaces at all times. Patrons must provide their own face coverings that fully cover both nose and mouth. Bandanas, gaiters and masks with external valves are not permitted.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. By attending Namba Performing Arts Space, you expressly agree to comply with any and all rules and safety guidelines put in place by the event organizers, and voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19, waiving all claims and potential claims against the event organizers, and their affiliated companies relating to such risks.
