Dance Instruction all day for National Dance Day!

10-11:00 – Connor Casavan – Basic Technique and Movement
Have you always wanted to dance but never gave yourself the chance to try? Take advantage of the perfect opportunity to explore the fundamentals of dance training in a fun, supportive environment. Learn the basics of ballet, jazz, modern and contemporary dance techniques in this entry level class with Connor. Get ready to work it out!

11-12 – Gail Pearson – Jazz Dance
Gail’s Jazz class consists of a brief warm up, moving into an across the floor introduction to the style and then a fun combo! Her style is a culmination of all the teachers with whom she studied and respected such as Frank Pietri (Matt Maddox protege) Luigi, John Maderis and Joyce Trisler. Gail’s main influence however was Betsy Haug, whose style was the most challenging, and shows through the strongest in her teaching.

12:10 – 1:00 – Kayla Ancheta-Chey – Tahitian Dance
Learn the fundamentals of Tahitian dance (Ori Tahiti) with Kayla! You will learn the basic steps of Ori Tahiti, alongside contemporary music and traditional beats (pehe). No experience necessary – just a willingness to learn something new. Be prepared to dance barefoot.

1:15 – 2:15 – Mia Tan Mendoza – Heels Class
Heels is an empowering dance for all. Using any and all music, working with the entire body. With the blend of all styles there is no limit. Mia’s heels class is a mix of sexy and elegant jazz funk. It has a rhythmic structure in the art and is a fun and challenging way to dance. Heel shoes are not just a sense of fashion!

2:25 – 3:25 – Colleen O’Callaghan – Relax, Renew and Move with Colleen!
The last class of the day will combine principles of Ballet, Yoga and Floor Barre. This class will end your day feeling more length and freedom in your body, mind and soul.
